Avraham Eilat has been an active artist since the 1960s. He works in original and innovative ways with diverse media-drawing, etching, installation, video, and photography-blurring their boundaries and merging them. Eilat addresses different personal and social subjects. The point of departure for his works is the everyday space, which he transforms and translates into a poetic space. He samples surrealist impressions from reality, which he gleans with sensitivity from human portraits, natural views, sites, and rituals.
