Born in Tel Aviv in 1975, lives and works in Tel Aviv.

Kobi Levi works as an independent shoe designer, and as a shoe craftsman he also engages in the shoe's production and assembly. Each pair of shoes created by Levi is a model that is challenging to develop and produced in limited editions. His shoes, an original sculptural piece that exhibits a unique and distinct language, portray everyday, seemingly trivial, situations with grace and humor: from spilt coffee or sticky chewing gum, to scenes from the bedroom, to key figures in popular culture. The chosen image, on its typical characteristics, is redesigned through a playful manipulation of the traditional parts of the shoe like the upper, heel, and sole, and imbued with absurd meaning when it becomes a functional shoe made for walking. Levi's works receive international acclaim and are exhibited in prominent museums.
