Osvaldo Romberg has been active in the Israeli and international art field for many years, and influenced numerous generations of students. As a prominent conceptual multidisciplinary artist and architect he formulated a unique artistic language that deals with the exploration and interpretation of the history of art. This language draws on familiar artistic movements in the study of objects and landscapes, yet instead of expressionist and romantic attitudes it offers an abstract, utopist and ironic typology that classifies geometry and colors. In his art Romberg pushes the avant-garde margins with elegance and tenacity, while demonstrating technical skill and mastery of materials and providing a personal interpretation of conceptual art.
