Varda Yatom is a prominent, acclaimed, and trailblazing artist in the international and Israeli fields of ceramic art. Her sculptural installation are characterized by their still intensity. The ceramic figures she models are like remnants of an ancient civilization of lost cultures. The sight of their wounded, torn, perforated, dismembered, and bound skin bestows them with a timeless dimension. The exhibition "Catastrophe and Grace-The Human Condition according to Varda Yatom" summons an existential ambiguity between life and death. It is an ongoing, exciting, artistic document that unsettles the body and the soul.
