Dr. Ilana Singer Blaine is Chief Curator of the Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art and a lecturer in
Japanese Art and Aesthetics. From 2002 to 2008, Dr. Singer Blaine was a Member of ICOM-
Israel's Board of Directors. In 2007 she received the Curator’s Prize from the Israel Ministry of
Science and Culture, and in 2014 she won the prestigious Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs
Commendation Award, presented to her in recognition of her activities in promoting mutual
understanding and relationships between Israel and Japan, and for the dissemination of Japanese
art and culture in Israel.
